Stay Home Stay Sanitary
By: Kyler Stubblefield

During this time of crisis, it is very important to follow the instruction as well as stay cleanly to reduce the outbreak of the virus COVID- 19 (Coronavirus). There are plenty of ways one can stay sanitary while being quarantined.

The outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19) has closed down plenty of businesses as well as canceled the remainder of school semesters. The seriousness of the virus has escalated as the percentage of the total cases has risen tremendously. Many would think since the virus has caused the death of plenty people would take it seriously, but unfortunately, many individuals ignore the warnings.

Social media is a way that individuals stay connected with what is going on around the world. Recently, many individuals are posting themselves not practicing social distancing by hosting gatherings of more than the allowed amount. Outside of being amongst large quantities of people, individuals are not practicing sanitary habits. There is plenty of video evidence confirming that people are not using safety equipment to its fullest potential. For example, gloves are used to protect one’s hands from getting bacteria as well as other germs upon their hands.

Many have used this sanitary equipment, but not in the proper way. Some may touch items such as their car door, car keys, or even grocery baskets with the gloves transporting the bacteria to things they touch with an unprotected hand. This increases the chance of the individuals to catch the COVID-19 (Coronavirus). The proper way to use the sanitary gloves would be to make sure whatever is touched with the gloves is not of personal use.
Another problem many have come across other than social distancing and improper use of safety equipment would be purchasing products that have been contaminated. There is a video released of a young man opening and drinking juice and placing it back on the shelves. This action puts others in danger that have no clue the beverage is open. As a whole, the world should be taking charge to help resolve the outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) instead of keeping it amongst us. It is saddening enough that day in and day out people are losing loved ones to this virus as well as being separated from close friends, family, or anyone of significant value.

Doctors are working every day to find a vaccine for this virus which keeps them in hospitals contaminated with Coronavirus. They have no choice but to complete their duties while not receiving the chance to go home to their families. For once let’s stick together to change things around from bad to good so that matters won’t get worse.
